Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician with a strong electrical background and expertise in machine setup, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance. This role involves working with industrial liquid packaging machinery and various plant systems to ensure seamless operations and minimize downtime.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and prepare machinery for scheduled production runs.
- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and emergency repairs on production and batching equipment.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues, replacing or repairing parts, testing, and making necessary adjustments.
- Detect and report faulty operations, defective materials, and unusual situations to supervisors.
- Use digital Volt, Ohm, and Amp meters to test electrical circuits and ensure operational integrity.
- Work with equipment such as boilers, pumps, mixers, conveyors, stretch wrappers, and palletizers.
Technical Expertise:
- Proficiency in hydraulics, pneumatics, welding, fabricating, and electrical systems (AC/DC circuits).
- Experience with HVAC systems, air compressors, air dryers, forklifts, and building/grounds maintenance.
- Conduct electrical conduit installation and manage electrical distribution systems.
- Perform plumbing, piping, pipe threading, and basic welding (arc, MIG, oxygen/acetylene).
- Repair motors (induction AC and DC) and pumps (positive displacement).
- Operate and repair forklifts, including LP types.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Ability to read, write, and understand English.
- Work independently with minimal supervision from verbal, written, or diagrammed instructions.
- Read and interpret electrical motor control ladder logic prints and mechanical/electrical diagrams.
- Basic understanding of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and basic electronics.
- Skill in welding and metal fabrication.
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; some college preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial maintenance.
Computer Skills:
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word and Outlook.
